Choosing Broadband

You need to make the right decision when choosing your 'service
provider' (BT, AOL, Tiscali or NTL etc) and the packages they offer.
We will explain to you the benefits and the drawbacks of each
package.

There are many service providers and packages available but once
again you need to understand what you really want to do with your
computer - and understand what you are signing up for.

You may want to use the Internet 12 hours a day and download 20
large files every week.

How large is large? We will explain how large files are and work out
what your monthly usage is likely to be. This allows you to know
exactly what package is best for you and you don't end up paying for
a 'Gold' service when a 'Bronze' will do quite nicely.

You may also want to use a wireless broadband connection so you
can connect one or more computers to the Internet - Again we will
explain the benefits and drawbacks of each facility available.

We will also tell you about the latest facilities i.e. using your
broadband line to make phone calls.
